     At mile marker 6.65 (From start of tour) you will see the parking area, you will see the Dan Lawson Place Homestead on your RIGHT.  Built in 1856, by Dan Lawson himself, after purchasing the land from Peter Cable, his father-in-law.  Notice the brick chimney, (built of home-made bricks) as it was unusual in the Cove.
